Info

As of AFE 020617d there is a possibility to build smaller AFE. Smaller means in size of the screen resources. The aim is to fit the GUI, which has been originally designed for 640x480 to the screen of pocket computers, such as e.g. iPaq.

The resolution is tailored to 240x320 pixels. Screens are kept almost identical to the normal versions with some re-arangements and removals of some unused widgets. The basic functionality stays the same for now.

To build the pocket GUI, make clean first. Then edit the Makefile and on the fifth line change POCKET_AFE := 0 to the pocket GUI enabling POCKET_AFE := 1. Then just make. All the sources now should get compiled with the POCKET_AFE flag, which drives the screen definitions and many other things.

Build process for iPaq

The build process is well documented on Johan's pages here. With questions about the build itself please contact Johan. With GUI problems and suggestions contact me.
