OBEX object push is a technology that allows for sending data to the device. The data is not requested by the device. This technology is used e.g. in Palms and mobile phones for bussiness card exchange or callendar entry exchange.
How-to
Discover and select your device. On the right-hand side locate the OBEX push icon and click it. File selection dialog appears and lets you select arbitrary file. Select file and click OK. The file will be transfered to teh device.
It is up to the device to decide what to do with such file. Computers will usually sotre it into some "inbox" directory, mobile phones can use it right away.
Status
The OBEX object push is fully supported
There are no restrictions on the file size or type
It has been successfully tested with anotehr Blutooth protocol stacks and differenct devices (e.g. Nokia mobile phones)
Hints
For mobile phones use file extensions: .gif, .jpg for images, .vcf for vCard, .vcl for iCallendar, etc.
This is connection-less service and therefore it can take some time to get the connection, transfer and close connection.
