OBEX file transfer offers similar features as basic file transfer protocol (FTP). User can get, put and delete files, list and change directories.
Only some systems offer this because it requires existence of a filesystem on the device, which is not true for simple devices as mobile phones.
How-to
Discover and select your device. On the right-hand side you should see the icon depicting the obex file transfer. Click it and small FTP window will open.
Here you can see both te local and remote filesystem. Use the buttons for
transfering files, refreshing directory listing and deleting files.
Status
OBEX file transfer is fully supported
delete of directories is not implemented on local filesystem
get/put of directories is not supported
transfer rates are as low as 3 kB/s with compiled libopenobex and as high as 20 kB/s with debian packages of libopenobex!
