The Affix Frontend Environment has been under development to make the use of the Bluetooth protocol stack easier. IMHO, a protocol stack without easy-to-use applications goes only half the way - attracts developers but puts ordinary users aside.

As of today, affix frontend environment expanded from being a single tool into a family of user-centric utilities. It works across many Linux platforms. Desktop users can use the bluetooth manager AFE and the bluetooth applet. Palmtop users are provided with the bluetooth applet and Affix Bluetooth Connector.
